Processing facilities for our community-owned Seaweed Farm
BWAC (Bendoran Water Activities Club), brings local people together to enjoy a range of watersports including sea kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding, swimming and skiff rowing.
Spaces are available for local people and visitors to store boats onshore at Bendoran. Our brand new slipway is also available for launching. From 1st April 2023 we will be charging for these services to help cover ongoing costs such as insurance and maintenance as we do not receive any revenue grant funding for the site.
Thanks to a grant from the Islands Green Recovery Fund we have already made some crucial developments on site to improve the safety, functionality and accessibility of the site. This includes parking spaces, track resurfacing, terraces and areas of hard standing, and the reconstruction of the slipway.
If you’d like to get involved with Bendoran or any of our other projects then find out more about volunteering below.
