There are still places available on our very exciting Mountain Bike Trail Building Courses run by B1ke - leaders in the arena of mountain bike trail design and build!
It's a fantastic opportunity to learn from the experts and will be a huge boost to our trail project at Tiroran Community Forest.
The course will run at the forest over 3 days starting on Friday 13th May:
Managing trail volunteers, HSE considerations, project and resource planning, risk assessment, duty of care obligations, trail inspections & managing volunteer projects.
You would be also expected to attend the two practical skills days on Saturday and Sunday.
Practical skills for building and ongoing maintenance/management of a bike trail: identifying risks and hazards, planning maintenance, practical skills in trail care and management, route planning, grading and signage, build techniques, risk assessments.
All welcome - it is free to attend but booking is essential! Contact our Community Forester, Philip Yielder.
If you are not able to attend the events but are interested in helping with the trail at Tiroran Community Forest, please let Philip know!
