Extraordinary General Meeting on Saturday 1st April 2023 at 11am, Creich Hall
SWMID is seeking the approval of community members for the following two proposals that will put us in a better position to deliver on the priorities identified by local people.
(i) Approval of proposed new Articles of Association (see attached papers).
Following the latest Community Right to Buy powers coming into effect, we are required to amend our Articles to remain compliant with the legislation. Doing so will enable SWMID to explore a wider range of opportunities to take ownership of land and assets in our communities.
(ii) Approval of SWMID's proposal to explore becoming a registered charity.
All full time residents are welcome to attend, and members are entitled to vote. If you are not a member yet, please contact Saskia. Membership is free and indicates your support for SWMID's aims and objectives. If you are a member and would like to vote, but cannot attend, you can vote by proxy - please fill in the form attached and return to Saskia via email or in person at the Columba Centre.
