We are delighted by the beautiful produce growing in the Community Garden, some of which has been supplied to Linda Cameron for her Ross of Mull and Iona Community Transport Scheme Sunday lunches at Creich Hall. We hope to hold pop-up sales of our harvest over the next few weeks and will keep you posted!
For our next exciting project we have funding available to hire someone with experience of building a cob pizza oven, or similar, to show us how. We just need to find the right person! Ideally we will run a pizza oven building workshop on a weekend in the next month or two, aimed at local teenagers. We already have some materials we’d like to upcycle and use for the project. We hope that a pizza oven will help make our community garden an even more inviting place and would love to use our garden produce as pizza toppings.
If you have relevant experience or know of someone who has, please contact our Community Gardener, Faith Fairbairn. She will be very happy to hear from you!
