Beginners bookbinding workshop

The sewn boards binding is an excellent starter book for beginners as well as those with some experience under their belts. It's decidedly modern in construction but with a nod to classical bindings in it's aesthetics. It can also be created by beginning binders with just a few basic hand tools – no special equipment or presses required.

Together we'll go through each step of creating one of these stylish and durable books. We'll choose our papers, sew book blocks, line spines, and make the covers. You'll leave with a book entirely of your own creation.

Fee includes lunch, refreshments, all materials, and use of the necessary tools for the day. All you have to bring is yourself and your curiosity.
