Matt is inspired by SWMID's various projects, and how these can help to enhance the diversity, resilience and sustainability of the local community, environment and economy.

Ailidh lives and works on Iona and is inspired by the empowerment and resilience community projects can bring. She believes the best decisions for communities are made at a local level.

Cameron absolutely believes that our community must be empowered to address the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities we are faced with and feels that SWMID is a crucial part of how we can achieve this.

Hannah is passionate about rural communities finding balance between everyday life and sustainable development and believes that the best decisions are made from within the community.

Martin is keen to use his knowledge and experience to help SWMID create sustainable employment opportunities for the local community.

Owen wants to see a thriving and sustainable multi-generational community on South West Mull and Iona and thinks that SWMID can play an important part in making this happen

 Rachel enjoys being involved in her local community where she is bringing up her two sons. She is passionate about building resilience and believes SWMID is a brilliant organisation who are making a positive impact on the community.

Fiona was born on the Ross of Mull and, after spending time away, returned in 2004. She is passionate about the area's development and preservation. Joining SWMID felt like a great opportunity to contribute and make a positive impact.

Sarah, with a background in rural development is excited to join the SWMID team and see's the amazing work already underway and the potential for the future with a keen eye on positive impact and agency for the community being built into this.

I am passionate about our islands, the local community and our beautiful yet fragile environment. I believe in the value of all of SWMID's projects as platforms to engage with this.

Leigh Eisler (Seaweed Farm Operations Manager)

Leigh Eisler (Seaweed Farm Operations Manager)

Leigh feels privileged to be working for SWMID to help establish the Seaweed Farm as a local industry and employer. She is keen to use her background in biology to help ensure the success and longevity of the Aird Fada seaweed farm.

Lorraine is passionate about locally grown food and looking after our soil. She believes that the Community Garden can help to empower local people to grow more and provide an important meeting place to share ideas and skills.
