Argyll & Bute Leader funding:

A European funding stream that delivers grants with the intention of supporting community-led economic growth and sustainable rural development within Argyll and the Islands.

The next round of LEADER funding closes on 14th October 2016.

After that point the future of this grant scheme is not guaranteed, due to uncertainty about Brexit.

LEADER is open to individuals (including self-employed), community and voluntary organisations and small and micro-enterprises, in the areas of farm diversification, tourism, heritage, culture and natural history. Your project would need to meet some of the objectives of the Local Development Strategy.

There is lots of help available for the application process from Leader staff. We also may be able to help with filling in an application.

A Scottish Government scheme that is open to young farmers or young crofters setting up as head of the holding of a new or existing farming business for the first time and who are between the age of 16 years and under 41 years of age at the point of application.
